Készült egy interjú Aaron Funkkal, aki a korábban említett Speed Dealer Moms formációban John lesz John társa. Az interjúban arról beszél, hogy hogyan találkozott Johhnal, és hogyan jött létre a Speed Dealer Moms projekt.
You might not know who Aaron Funk is, but if you’re a music fan, you’ve probably heard of his new bandmate: Guitarist John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The L.A. rocker and the Winnipeg musician are the leaders of Speed Dealer Moms, an electronica outfit that grew out of their recently minted friendship.
„He was a fan of my music,” explains Funk. „He turned up at a couple of my gigs in Europe. We started talking about music and we sort of became really good friends. He’s a cool dude. We just share this huge love of making music. We really clicked.”

John megint egy hosszú írást tett közzé a blogján, még mindig a The Empyreanhoz kapcsolódik a téma. Kíváncsi vagyok, vajon fog másról is szólni előbb utóbb a blog, mint ez a lemez?
Lyrically this record became a concept album and was not initially written that way though I had a clear idea of what sort of things I wanted to write about. I did not write the songs as a character but as myself. The form revealed itself as it took shape and I added songs to complete the flow I perceived. I also left off two songs since the singer’s words were somewhat from the inside out. All the remaining songs lyrical viewpoint is from the inside in. Rod Stewart úgy nyilatkozott nemrég, hogy bár az album elkészítésére összeáll újra a The Faces, de semmilyen turné nincs tervben, ráadásul Flea nem is tud arról a felkérésről, hogy a koncerteken ő helyettesítse az 1997-ben elhunyt basszusgitárosukat.
