2012. április 14-én iktatják be a Red Hot Chili Peppers zenekart a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame-be. A ceremónián három számot fog játszani az együttes, ráadásul Jack Irons és Cliff Martinez is csatlakozni fog hozzájuk, Chad Smith szerint nagyon valószínű, hogy a Give It Away alatt. Mint tudjuk, John Frusciante nem lesz ott a rendezvényen, viszont az együttes meghívta George Clintont, akivel a Chili már régóta szoros barátságban van, hiszen ő volt a második lemezük, a Freaky Styley producere, és több ízben is egy színpadon szerepelt a bandával. Chad Smith az alábbiakat mondta róla:
“We invited George to come. When he shows up it’s always a jam and always a party. We really want him there because he was such a big part of the band, certainly in the early days. Not only producing our records but what he stands for. He deserves the love too because he’s so under appreciated. George is an encyclopedia of rock ’n’ roll and funk, can you imagine a George biopic?”
