Anthony Kiedis apja, Blackie Dammett könyvet írt az életéről, az élményeiről Los Angeles éjszakai életében, hogy hogyan bulizott a legnagyobb hírességekkel akkoriban, illetve a fiával való kapcsolatáról. A könyv új történeteket fed fel a Red Hot Chili Peppers múltjából.

A könyv egyelőre csak az Amazonon, e-könyv formájában vásárolható meg, a nyomtatásban való megjelenés attól függ mennyire lesz jó a fogadtatása az e-könyvnek.

After blackening a q-tip with the desert sand from last night, I used my ears to help Andrew mix the final song for the extra songs from the ‘I’m With You’ sessions. I’d like to apologize for getting a bit behind schedule with these releases. After my foot injury, it was hard to get off my arse during our breaks from tour. I apologize. I’d like to take a moment and publicly thank Andrew Scheps for all of his wonderful work on these songs. It’s been a wonderful experience that I’m very grateful for. Thank you to Andrew…and everyone who worked on ‘I’m With You.’

As there is one more show in the ‘I’m With You’ tour, I’d also like to thank everyone, everywhere who came to see us play. It’s an honour for me.

Olyan rég volt már setlist, biztos hiányoltátok. Tegnap este Hollywoodban lépett fel a Red Hot Chili Peppers, egy teljesen átlagos setlisttel léptek fel.

Jó, kicsit igazságtalan vagyok, hiszen aránylag kellemesek ezek a setlistek, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Around The World, Soul To Squeeze, de nagyon hiányzik már valami igazán különleges, és természetesen végigjátszva, nem csak pár másodperc.

Kedvenc gitárosunk, John Frusciante váratlanul egy új számot adott ki, címe Wayne. John a hivatalos oldalán tette közzé a több mint 10 perces dalt, és írt is hozzá egy kis magyarázatot.

This song was recorded for my friend Wayne Forman, the coolest, kindest friend anybody could ever have. When I used to play in arenas I would often mentally aim my playing at him. Wayne loved long guitar solos, and he was my favorite person in the audience to play for. As everyone who knew him is well aware, he was also the best chef ever. When I saw him two days ago, he was laying in front of a CD player, so when I came home I decided I’d make something for him. I recorded this solo for him to hear, but I finished it a day too late, so now it is a tribute to his memory. It is what he would have wanted me to play for him, and it is my offering to his family and friends all over the world, as well as anybody else. Wayno lives in our hearts forever, the greatest guy anybody could ever know. I’m so lucky to have been graced by his friendship. All the love in the world to him.
